Sister Margaret Stallmeyer, C.D.P. became the interim president of Thomas More College on June 1, 2004, coming to Thomas More from the Sisters of Divine Providence in Melbourne, Kentucky. Following the recommendation of the Board of Trustees, Bishop Roger Foys appointed her the thirteenth president of Thomas More College on December 15, 2004. Sister Margaret assumed the official responsibilities of president in December 2004. Sister Margaret is a 1968 graduate of Thomas More College and a native of the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area. Sister Margaret has a two-decade career as an educator and administrator in two high schools in the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky. She served as treasurer for the Sisters of Divine Providence for ten years and served for five years as the Diocese of Lexington's tribunal director and judge. From 2001-2003, she served on the Board of Governors of the Canon Law Society of America. She has been on the Thomas More College Board of Trustees for the last six years and on the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Board for ten years, the last four as Chairperson. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Thomas More College. She has a Master's Degree in Education from Xavier University and received a degree in canon law from The Catholic University of America in 1987. Sr. Margaret is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges and Universities, Council of Independent Colleges, Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities, Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities and the Canon Law Society of America. Her service and involvement in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area includes board membership on the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the leadership team, Vision 2015.
