Catherine (Kate) Arnold began her tenure at Thomas More College in the Fall of 2011. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Criminal Justice. Professor Arnold graduated with her Bachelors and Masters in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently A.B.D. in her doctoral coursework, and is near completing her Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in Criminal Justice. Her dissertation examines racial disparity in substance abuse treatment among incarcerated juveniles. Professor Arnold’s other academic interests include corrections, courts and law and criminological theory. She has previously worked on a variety of correctional research projects, including serving as a research assistant for Talbert House in Cincinnati, Ohio. Other professional activities include previous work with Hamilton County Juvenile Court and Hamilton County Common Pleas Probation Department. She also regularly participates in the annual American Society of Criminology meetings and is also active in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
