Admission Procedures

Thomas More College uses a 'rolling' admissions policy meaning we review applications throughout the year for admission. Students must submit the Application for Admission and Scholarships, along with official high school transcripts and either ACT or SAT scores. A $25 application fee is also required. The application fees are waived for online applicants.

Students will be informed of their admission status by the Admissions Committee decision within four (4) weeks after receiving all completed application information.

Freshman Automatic Admission Criteria

The following 17 units are required of high school applicants for admission. Any applicant who lack some of them may be admitted at the discretion of the admissions committee.

High School GPA
80% (C or 2.0 out of 4.0) or above.

ACT Scores
Minimum composite 20 (SAT composite of 1010).
Minimum ACT English score of 20 (SAT verbal of 480).

High School Class Rank
Top 50%.

Pre-College Curriculum High School Units* High school units required for entrance should include the following:

English: 4 credits
Foreign Language: 2 credits
Social Science: 3 credits
Mathematics: 3 credits
Science: 3 credits
Arts Appreciation: 1 credit
Computer Literacy: 1 credit

*Applicants lacking some of these units may be admitted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.
