ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES

Welcome to the Thomas More College Residence Life website! In residence life we are committed to creating a community environment that fosters the intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual growth of our residents. The staff is trained to provide residents with the support and challenges that are necessary for a meaningful living-learning experience. One of the most beneficial things you can do for yourself while in college is to live on campus. Studies show that students who live on campus are making a choice that positively impacts their lives, enriches their day-to-day interactions, and makes their educational experience more fulfilling. It is our hope that you will take advantage of the many things that campus living at TMC offers.

Residence Hall vs. Dorms
The terms "residence hall" and "dorm" are often used interchangeably to describe on-campus living facitlites. However, there is a significant difference between the two. Dorm comes from the Latin word "dormus" which means "to sleep." At TMC we offer so much more then a place to sleep. We believe that a residence hall is a home-away-from-home, a campus community and a place where our students can live and learn in a safe environment. So, when you come to TMC expect MORE because you will get MORE then a "dorm" room!
