The Computer Information Systems Department offers this competitive scholarship to incoming students who plan to major in Computer Information Systems.  The selected applicant will be required to work 20 hours per week, 50 weeks per year in the Thomas More College Computer Center starting the summer prior to your freshman year.

To be considered for this scholarship candidates must plan to major in Computer Information Systems with an ACT math score of 23 or higher or an SAT math score of 530 or higher, a high school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a college prep curriculum.

Candidates need to submit two letters, one letter of recommendation from their computer information systems or math teacher, computer technology coordinator, or a guidance counselor and another one page single spaced letter in which the student describes their interest in applying for the scholarship, what it is about computers which interests them, what value is added to a Computer Information Systems degree by having work related experience, a description of any computer experience they may have either formal or self taught, and any creative or original computer activities in which they may have participated.

Students who wish to be considered for this award should submit an Application for Admission and Scholarship by March 15.  Candidates should submit the required letters directly to the Computer Information Systems Department.  An interview will be required.  Finalist interviews will be conducted no later than April 15.
