For more than 17 years, Thomas More College (TMC) has helped busy professionals improve their careers and financial futures through The Accelerated Program (TAP). TAP offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in business administration and management, with courses tailored to fit the busy lives of working adults. This fall, the college will add a new choice for adult students: Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Care Management.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Care Management curriculum blends academic theory with the multidisciplinary principles, policies and practices that support the dynamic health services industry.

"The new degree program is designed to prepare students for graduate study or a variety of career and leadership opportunities in the complex, ever-changing, health services arena,” said Dr. Jack Rudnick Jr, assistant professor and content coordinator of the Health Care Management program. "Students will be equipped with a liberal arts background that emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, communication and technical content knowledge while integrating health management, business, public health policy and research skills."
“I am excited about the new program in health care management,” said Dr. Christopher Moyer, . As a senior member of the Department of Business Administration faculty, Moyer has had some input into the program, and is responsible for two of the courses in the curriculum. He will be teaching in the program on a regular basis.
Since 1993, about 3,500 students have entered the college’s highly lauded adult degree program. TAP’s innovative cohort teaching model (the first of its kind in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana) groups adults into learning teams to better develop the leadership and business skills needed to be competitive in today’s global marketplace.
TAP maintains a high graduation rate. Eighty percent of students who begin a program have either successfully completed the program or are currently enrolled. "Our programs are tailored to the learning needs of adults. We want our students to succeed as disciplined thinkers and ethical leaders, and we provide them with the tools to do so," said Dr. Lawrence Byerly, Chair of the Department of Business Administration.
For more information on TAP, call Judy Bautista at (859) 341-4554 or visit www.thomasmore.edu/tap.
